I have been undertaking negligence work for the last fifteen years, preparing reports for both claimants and defendants. I restrict this now to hip replacement cases. I accept approximately 10 to 15 new instructions per annum and I can generally prepare reports from the notes within 4 to 6 weeks of receipt of the papers. If a patient needs to be examined, then I can normally arrange this within 6 weeks of instruction.
I have undertaken formal medico-legal training attending two training courses in 2009 and 2020. I also regularly attend the medico-legal section of the British Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting.
